Peter Elliott

Peter Elliott completed his primary, secondary and legal education in Townsville before being admitted as a solicitor. In 1975, he entered into partnership with Raoul Giudes, establishing a longstanding presence in the local legal community. Currently, Peter leads the firm’s commercial division as a Consultant, focusing primarily on commercial and domestic property transactions. His extensive experience encompasses a wide range of commercial law matters, alongside expertise in wills and estates. Beyond his legal practice, Peter has demonstrated a strong commitment to community service. He has held director and community member roles in various charitable organisations, including Mercy Aged Care and Spinal Injuries North Queensland. Additionally, Peter has contributed significantly to the sports and legal sectors, having served as Chair and life member of the North Queensland Sports Foundation, a Senior Counsellor for the Queensland Law Society, and an inaugural member of the Queensland Racing Disciplinary Board. Peter holds qualifications as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court of Australia. He maintains active memberships with the Queensland Law Society, the North Queensland Law Association, the Townsville District Law Association, and other community organisations, reflecting both his professional engagement and community dedication.
