Michael Moloney

Michael Moloney is a Partner at Edwards Family Lawyers, bringing over 15 years of experience practising in Family Law. Admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of NSW and as a solicitor to the High Court of Australia in 2006, Michael holds a combined Bachelor of Laws and Arts degree and has completed a Masters of Laws in Commercial Litigation. His comprehensive background, which also includes commercial litigation experience, enables him to manage complex Family Law matters that often intersect with other areas of law. Michael has acted for clients in diverse Family Law issues such as complex property settlements, separation and divorce, de facto relationship disputes, high-conflict parenting matters, relocation cases and child support arrangements. He is committed to resolving disputes constructively and cost-effectively, with a strong emphasis on negotiation and mediation. Michael is known for his thorough preparation and practical approach, working closely with clients to understand their goals and negotiate from a position of strength and common sense. Prior to joining Edwards Family Lawyers in 2018, Michael operated a legal practice in partnership for nine years and served as a senior family lawyer at a national firm, where he supervised and mentored junior lawyers across New South Wales and Victoria.
