Lachlan Jackson

Lachlan Jackson is a Partner at Edwards Moloney Family Law, joining the firm in 2018. Since 2011, he has practised exclusively in family law, developing extensive experience across a broad spectrum of matters within this area. Lachlan’s work encompasses property settlements, divorce and separation, maintenance arrangements, financial agreements—including pre-nuptial, cohabitation, and separation agreements—as well as parentage disputes, complex parenting matters, relocation issues, and child support. He has particular expertise in complex property cases involving third parties, overseas assets, multiple expert witnesses, valuation disputes, corporate entities, trusts, cross collateralisation, liquidation, and taxation challenges. Lachlan’s approach aims to deliver commercially sound and cost-effective outcomes tailored to the individual circumstances of his clients. Lachlan is well versed in preparing and presenting cases before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. He works closely with clients to compile comprehensive affidavits and court documentation, providing a solid foundation for successful resolutions. His experience includes instructing independent experts and counsel and advocating strongly before the court to ensure each client’s case is represented thoroughly. He holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Bachelor of Laws with Honours, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, and a Master of Applied Family Law awarded with Distinction. Lachlan was admitted as a lawyer to the Supreme Court of New South Wales and as a solicitor to the High Court of Australia in 2014.
