About Us
Cranston McEachern Lawyers has a distinguished history dating back to its establishment in 1928 by Cranston Albury McEachern. After serving as a militia officer and enduring captivity as a prisoner of war during the Second World War, Cranston returned to Brisbane and dedicated himself to rebuilding the firm. The practice has since grown into a comprehensive legal service provider based in Brisbane’s central business district. David McEachern, Cranston’s son, took over as managing partner in 1980, guiding the firm through significant developments until his recent retirement, when he transitioned to a consultancy role. Alongside David, partners Peter Deed and Bernie McGowan have managed and practised at the firm since 1986, contributing to its reputation for delivering practical and responsive legal solutions. Cranston McEachern Lawyers offers a wide range of services including banking and finance, commercial and corporate law, commercial litigation, property law, family law, conveyancing, workplace and employment law, general litigation, criminal law, wills and estates, intellectual property law, and accident compensation law.
