Kevin de Souza

Kevin is a highly accomplished lawyer with over 30 years of diverse legal experience, demonstrating his adeptness across a broad spectrum of practice areas. His extensive career spans commercial and property transactions, civil litigation, business and real estate settlements, family law, wills and probate, and criminal law. Kevin's academic journey began at the prestigious National University of Singapore, where he graduated in 1986. His early career diverged into social service, as he became a full-time church worker with tertiary student movements. However, his passion for law led him to be admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 1990, where he initially focused on personal injury law. In a testament to his commitment to humanitarian causes, Kevin joined the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in 1992 as an appeals lawyer in Hong Kong. Here, he played a vital role in representing the rights and interests of asylum seekers. His work with the UNHCR extended to Singapore, where he continued his advocacy on an ad-hoc basis. Kevin's career progressed with his admission to practice in Western Australia in 2005, marking the beginning of a new chapter. He joined Robertson Hayles Lawyers in 2008, where his leadership and expertise were swiftly recognised. By 2009, he had ascended to the role of director, where he continues to guide the firm with his wealth of knowledge and unwavering dedication to the legal profession.
