Pamela Ritt

Pamela Ritt is the Principal of the practice and holds a combined Bachelor of Arts and Laws degree from the University of Tasmania. She was admitted as a Solicitor in November 1997. With over eighteen years of experience, Pamela has developed extensive expertise in family law, handling complex matters involving children’s issues, including cases of abuse and domestic violence, as well as intricate property settlements. Her trial experience equips her to advocate effectively for clients in serious disputes, working to secure just and fair outcomes. Pamela is a member of the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and the Family Law Practitioners Association of Queensland. She is a Collaborative Lawyer and a Nationally Accredited Mediator since 2014. Currently, Pamela is completing her Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner Accreditation, enabling her to issue Section 60I Certificates following mediation. Her approach balances assertive management of property settlements to optimise client outcomes and reduce legal costs and stress, with a strong emphasis on the needs and wellbeing of children. Pamela supports clients in navigating joint parenting responsibilities post-separation, focusing on effective communication and conflict resolution. She often incorporates child-inclusive mediation to ensure care arrangements reflect the child’s age and developmental requirements.
