Paula Roberts is a highly esteemed lawyer and director at Penmans, where she practises with a particular focus on property, commercial, and business law. An Accredited Specialist in Property Law and a Notary Public, Paula's passion for the legal profession stems from her love of working with words and people. Paula's journey into law began shortly after leaving school, when she worked in secretarial and paralegal roles, followed by a period in real estate. Her commitment to pursuing a legal career led her to the Legal Profession Admission Board's Diploma in Law, a path that demands both diligence and independent study. Since joining Penmans in 2009, Paula has developed a robust legal practice. Initially gaining experience across various legal disciplines, she eventually found her calling in transactional law, focusing on complex property matters. Mentored by the renowned Chris Elder, she transitioned into a partnership at the firm in 2012. Paula's expertise is most evident in her handling of intricate property issues, including strata law and property development. She excels in guiding her property developer clients through every stage of the process, from site acquisition to planning, construction, strata subdivision, and ultimately, leasing or sale. In addition to her property law focus, Paula leads the firm's business law, conveyancing, and commercial transactions team. She is a firm believer in drafting legal documents in clear, plain language, ensuring they are accessible and comprehensible to all clients.
