Lauren Dinning

Lauren Dinning is the Principal Lawyer and Director of Dinning & Co, where she leverages her extensive background in family law and advocacy to provide exceptional legal services. A graduate of Adelaide University, Lauren holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts with a focus in Psychology and Languages. She further enhanced her legal qualifications with a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Society of South Australia. Lauren's legal journey began in her hometown of Mildura, working her way up from a mail officer to a clerk and eventually a practising lawyer. Her early career included a role as a Judge's Associate and later Head Associate at the District Court of South Australia, followed by five years at a boutique family law practice in Adelaide. In 2010, Lauren returned to Mildura, bringing with her a wealth of expertise in family law to serve her community more directly. Lauren's commitment to social justice and regional advocacy is demonstrated through her involvement with Mallee Family Care, where she contributed to policy development, law reform, and mentoring of junior solicitors. In 2019, she founded Dinning & Co, initially focusing on her work as an Independent Children’s Lawyer, and has since expanded the practice to address broader social justice issues in regional settings. Her dedication to her field is further evidenced by her roles as a panel practitioner with Victoria Legal Aid and National Legal Aid, a Regional Representative with the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, and as a member of the Law Institute of Victoria. Nationally recognised as an Accredited Mediator, Lauren is also a member of the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators (AIFLAM). Her career is marked by a commitment to providing compassionate, effective legal representation in family law matters, particularly advocating for the welfare of children.
