Lauren Dinning serves as the Principal Lawyer and Director of Dinning & Co, bringing a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to family law. Her legal journey commenced in her hometown of Mildura, where she progressed from a mail officer to a lawyer, solidifying her passion for the law early in her career. After obtaining a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Languages from Adelaide University, Lauren completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at the Law Society of South Australia. Her early career was highlighted by her role as a Judge's Associate at the District Court of South Australia, where she eventually became Head Associate, gaining invaluable courtroom experience. In Adelaide, Lauren spent five years at a boutique family law practice, where she refined her skills in family law. Upon returning to Mildura in 2010, she was actively engaged with Mallee Family Care, contributing to law reform and mentoring young solicitors. Her dedication to community-oriented legal service inspired her to establish Dinning & Co in 2019, with an initial focus as an Independent Children’s Lawyer. Lauren's leadership has seen the practice flourish, dedicated to offering legal services that reflect a strong social justice ethos, particularly tailored to meet the needs of regional communities. She is a recognised panel practitioner with Victoria Legal Aid and National Legal Aid and is an esteemed member of both the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia and the Law Institute of Victoria. Additionally, Lauren holds national accreditation as a Mediator and is associated with the Australian Institute of Family Law Arbitrators and Mediators. At Dinning & Co, the team provides comprehensive family law services, including general advice, divorce proceedings, parenting disputes, property settlements, and family violence matters. The practice also offers mediation, family dispute resolution, and expertise in pre-marriage financial agreements, as well as legal guidance on the breakdown of de facto and same-sex relationships, relocations, recovery orders, and family law litigation.
