Twistie Venning

Twistie Venning serves as the Principal Solicitor at Bona Fide Law Services, where he brings a wealth of diverse experience and a steadfast commitment to client advocacy. Admitted to practice in both the Supreme Court of Western Australia and the High Court of Australia, Twistie is a Barrister and Solicitor known for his dedication to supporting and guiding his clients through their legal challenges. His efforts are complemented by a dedicated and approachable support team, ensuring a comprehensive service experience. Originating from South Australia, Twistie made the move to Western Australia in 2001, propelled by his career with the Australian Defence Force. His service as a Navy Medic included operational roles in significant missions such as the Solomon Islands, Border Protection, ICAT, and the Iraq War. After concluding his military service, Twistie transitioned to roles within the Emergency Services and Health and Safety sectors, contributing to various mining and construction projects across WA. In 2012, he joined the Government of Western Australia as a Community Corrections Officer, continuing his journey of public service. Twistie's career path, marked by its diversity, is underscored by a consistent theme of aiding and advocating for others. In 2008, driven by a deep-seated passion for advocacy, Twistie embarked on his legal education journey. He earned a Bachelor of Laws with 1st Class Honours while managing full-time work commitments, and later attained a Master of Legal Practice with Merit. His formal admission to practice law occurred in 2016, paving the way for roles in both private practice and at the Legal Aid Commission of WA. Ultimately, this experience culminated in the founding of Bona Fide Law Services. Twistie's practice is firmly rooted in values of honesty, integrity, courage, and respect, and his varied background equips him with a keen understanding of people.
