Her extensive experience spans industries such as water, waste, CSG, oil and gas, mining, power generation, defence, and public-private partnership projects including roads, hospitals, and schools. Fiona's recent portfolio includes working with councils and council-owned, state-owned, and commercial water businesses across Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, ACT, and South Australia. Her career began in London in 1985, where she practised as a front-end construction lawyer, developing a focus on major infrastructure projects and public-private partnerships. She advised on procurement and contract strategies across the UK, Asia, the Middle East, and India. In 2000, Fiona moved to Australia, joining a prominent national law firm in Brisbane before founding Yeang Lawyers in 2006. Her innovative approach to water infrastructure projects and relationship contracting in Australia leverages her international insights. Fiona has also served as a sessional academic at Queensland University of Technology, lecturing on construction engineering law.
