Lachlan Nguyen

Lachlan Nguyen is the founding principal solicitor of Willocks Lawyers, established in 2005. His legal journey began at a prominent Melbourne law firm, where he gained invaluable experience that paved the way for his role as a Senior Associate at a leading national firm. With over 20 years of litigation expertise, Lachlan has handled complex claims and conducted significant litigation on behalf of large companies, insurers, company directors, and private individuals. He has practised in all major jurisdictions, including the Supreme Court, County Court, Federal Court, and VCAT. Lachlan's practice areas include insurance litigation, professional indemnity, and commercial litigation, where he represents clients in breach of contract, insurance claims, property damage, and building disputes. Over the past 12 years, he has expanded his practice into Family Law and Criminal Law, regularly appearing in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia as well as the Magistrates’ Court in Victoria. Bilingual in English and Vietnamese, Lachlan is well-equipped to cater to a diverse clientele. He holds a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from Deakin University, complemented by a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne. Admitted as a Solicitor and Barrister of the Supreme Court of Victoria, Lachlan is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Law Society of New South Wales, underscoring his commitment to the legal profession and his clients.
