About Elizabeth

Elizabeth Becker is a Managing Partner at Ryan Carlisle Thomas and Stringer Clark Lawyers, leading both the Family Law and Abuse Law departments. She is dedicated to guiding clients through challenging personal situations, emphasizing social justice, gender equality, and multicultural awareness. Prior to joining the firm in 2016, Elizabeth worked with one of Australia’s largest plaintiff law firms and within the Community Justice Sector, notably as Principal Lawyer at InTouch Multicultural Centre Against Family Violence. Her commitment to development was highlighted when she was a Mentor of the Year finalist at the 2019 Australian Law Awards. Throughout her career, Elizabeth has been instrumental in establishing and accrediting Australia’s first Community Legal Centre within a family violence practice, applying a multidisciplinary and holistic approach to family law. She played a key role in forming a Health-Justice Partnership with Monash Hospital, establishing an outreach program for Dandenong Hospital patients in need of legal advice and representation. Elizabeth is also a Member of the Law Institute of Victoria. Away from her professional life, she is an avid traveller, having explored countries like China, Russia, India, Japan, and Mexico. She cherishes time with family, friends, and her pets, and enjoys literature, films, and the music of Nick Cave.
