His career also includes a significant tenure as a partner at Norton & Smailes, a leading tax law firm in Western Australia, until its acquisition by Ernst & Young in 2016. Alan is admitted to practise in several jurisdictions, including the Supreme Court of Western Australia, the High Court of Australia, the Federal Court of Australia, and the Administrative Appeals Tribunal.
