Sharon McKinnon

Sharon McKinnon, the Founding Principal of her legal firm, began her illustrious career by obtaining an LLB from the University of Adelaide in 1979, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 1980. Admitted to practice that same year, Sharon has since established a robust reputation in the legal sector, initially working as both a solicitor and barrister across various fields. In 1991, she launched her own practice, focusing extensively on Family and De Facto law, including intricate property and children's issues. As a platinum member of the Law Society of SA and the Family Law section of the Law Council of Australia, Sharon is deeply engaged with the legal community. Her involvement extends beyond law, demonstrated by her membership in the Social Security Appeals Tribunal and her role as a committee member of the Talkback Association for Aphasia Inc., supporting individuals affected by language impairment due to stroke or brain injury. Known for her compassionate approach, Sharon navigates the complexities of family law with empathy, ensuring her clients receive the most favourable outcomes during challenging times.
