Nicholas Lyons

Nicholas Lyons, a distinguished partner at the firm, has been an integral part of the legal community since joining the partnership in 1996. When Ron Saines, the former Senior Partner, departed in 2002, Nick seamlessly transitioned into the role of Managing Principal, a position he continues to hold with unwavering dedication. With over three decades of extensive practice in personal injury litigation, Nick has honed his expertise exclusively in this area for the past 25 years. His early career encompassed a diverse array of legal disciplines, including criminal and general civil litigation, disputes, and employment law. Nick's primary interests lie in Workers Compensation (WorkCover), motor accidents (TAC), and Public/Occupiers Liability claims and litigation. In recognition of his expertise, he achieved the status of an accredited specialist in Personal Injury Law in 2005, following examinations set by the Law Institute of Victoria. Praised by his peers, Nick was featured in the Doyles Guide from 2018 to 2022 as one of the leading TAC and WorkCover Injury Lawyers in Victoria. Notably, he remains the sole recipient of this accolade in Ballarat and Western Victoria. In addition to his legal practice, Nick contributes to the Victorian Branch Committee of the Australian Lawyers Alliance, focusing on advocating for the rights of injured individuals and the broader community.
