Katalina Toth serves as a senior commercial and civil litigation lawyer at Saines Lucas Solicitors, offering representation across a wide spectrum of legal areas, including building, consumer, and commercial law. With a practical yet technical approach, Kat brings commercial acumen to her role, dedicated to delivering value-driven, personalised services to her clients. Her expertise spans building law, contract law, corporations law, tort law including negligence, intellectual property law, privacy law, and disputes in farming, estate, and franchises, alongside general civil litigation. Kat has accumulated considerable experience in personal injury cases, criminal law, family law, and human rights, as well as in health and employment law. Her defence work in planning and environmental prosecutions further demonstrates her diverse capabilities. A keen researcher, Kat is known for exploring legal nuances and surpassing expectations for her clients. Her dedication earned her a finalist position for the Law Institute of Victoria Regional Lawyer of the Year in 2016. Having moved to Ballarat during the last leg of her law degree, Kat, originally from Melbourne, graduated with first-class honours and completed her practical legal training at Saines Lucas Solicitors in 2011, where she has remained since. Her academic journey includes a Bachelor in Health Science, specialising in Public and Environmental Health. Bilingual with proficiency in Hungarian, Kat gained international experience by living in Budapest and working in various sectors, including retail and fashion. She also delivered presentations in China to law schools and government agencies. In her personal life, Kat enjoys spending her leisure time with her family, engaging in activities such as bushwalking, surfing, gardening, and exploring rural Victoria.
