About Sam
Sam Roberts is the Managing Partner and a co-founder of Roberts Crosbie Mortensen, leading the firm's Commercial Litigation and Insolvency & Restructuring teams. As joint head of Enterprise Growth & Corporate Advisory, Sam focuses on assisting companies, business owners, and insolvency practitioners with dispute resolution, money recovery, and restructuring. His extensive experience covers corporate and commercial agreements, transactions, mergers and acquisitions, and legal consultancy as a virtual in-house Counsel. Admitted as a Solicitor in 2001, Sam has been an Accredited Specialist in Commercial Litigation since 2013. He possesses a unique expertise in the building and construction sector, co-authoring the recognised Security of Payment Guide. His role extends to advising company directors on legal matters and managing projects related to commercial risk and transformation. Initially, Sam began his legal career as an Associate Solicitor at Baker Love Lawyers. He later founded Fast Track Debt Collection, integrating methods from his litigation practice before selling it in 2019. Sam holds a Bachelor of Law and a Commerce degree with a major in Management Accounting from the University of Newcastle.
