About Mark
Mark Crosswell serves as the Principal Lawyer at Page Seager Lawyers, where he brings a wealth of experience in property, planning, and environmental law. An alumnus of the University of Tasmania, Mark graduated with a combined Bachelor of Business in Accounting and Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours. He also holds a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the same institution. Mark is adept at advising a diverse clientele, including property owners, developers, and financial institutions, on a wide range of property and commercial transactions. His legal acumen is reflected in his ability to provide practical, accurate, and timely advice, assisting clients in areas such as commercial and residential property acquisitions, business acquisitions and disposals, leasing, and property developments. His recent engagements showcase his expertise, including providing jurisdictional advice for major lenders on substantial finance structuring projects, advising agricultural lenders on property and security matters, and overseeing lease documentation for new retirement villages. Mark has also facilitated the sale of prominent shopping centres, helped negotiate contracts for social housing development sites, and managed the sale of a heritage-listed boutique hotel in Hobart. Before his current role, Mark gained extensive experience at Page Seager Lawyers as Special Counsel and Senior Associate, following a significant tenure at Murdoch Clarke. Throughout his career, he has consistently demonstrated a strong commitment to excellence in legal advice and property law. Beyond his professional life, Mark is actively involved in the community as a Director of Montagu Community Living and serves on the St Mary’s College Advisory Council. He also leads the Sandy Bay Water Polo Club as President and has formerly contributed to various committees, including Water Polo Tasmania and the Hobart Aquatic Club.
