Tahlia Melino

Tahlia Melino serves as the Principal and Director of her legal practice, bringing an energetic and driven approach to her work. She champions a collaborative method with clients and opposing parties, believing it is crucial for achieving favourable outcomes. Her career has consistently focused on liability, compensation, and insurance, areas where she passionately pursues client-centred results. Tahlia is actively involved with the Young Lawyers Support Group, where she guides and supports fellow legal professionals. Her practice primarily serves employers, self-insurers, and insurers, offering a range of services including risk management and strategic advice. Tahlia is dedicated to empowering her clients, helping them to influence and control their outcomes through practical and cost-effective solutions. She frequently appears in the South Australian Employment Court, as well as the Magistrates, District, and Supreme Courts, and is admitted to practise in the High Court. Her involvement with the South Australia Employment Tribunal Legal Stakeholder Group and role as a mentor further underscore her commitment to the legal community. After establishing Melino Legal in 2022, Tahlia continued to demonstrate her expertise in civil litigation and risk management, building on a decade as a partner at Duddy Shopov and prior experience in private practice. She commenced her legal career upon graduating with a Bachelor of Laws and Legal Practice from Flinders University. Outside of her professional life, Tahlia enjoys spending quality time with her husband and two young sons, who keep her both active and fulfilled.
