Mary Grant

Mary Grant is the Co-founding Director of McTaggart Grant Lawyers, known for her substantial experience in corporate, commercial, and real estate law. Prior to establishing McTaggart Grant Lawyers, she honed her skills over nearly a decade at one of Australia’s largest national law firms. Her expertise as a legal advisor is highly regarded by her clients, who appreciate her pragmatic approach and her ability to foster positive collaborations with stakeholders. Mary's proficiency encompasses a wide range of corporate and commercial law areas, including mergers and acquisitions, business structuring, and shareholder arrangements. Her real estate expertise extends to the acquisition and disposal of commercial properties and navigating commercial and retail leasing across multiple jurisdictions. She has represented listed aggregators managing extensive commercial lease portfolios, demonstrating her adeptness in the field. Her clientele spans various industry sectors such as childcare, retail, and technology, highlighting her adaptability and breadth of knowledge. Mary is particularly enthusiastic about supporting early-stage and high-growth businesses, guiding them from inception through growth phases. This includes working with start-ups, family businesses, and listed companies. Mary holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and a degree in International Relations from Bond University. Admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland, she brings a robust educational background to her practice. In addition to her legal career, Mary is actively involved in community initiatives. As the former President of YP Gold Coast, she played a pivotal role in fostering the city’s corporate culture. She continues to support the organisation through her firm. Outside of her professional and community engagements, Mary enjoys playing touch football and is a member of the Palm Beach Touch Football Association.
