Lucy Adamson

Lucy Adamson is a partner in our Sydney Corporate Advisory team, focusing on financial services regulation and funds management. She brings a wealth of experience in advising both domestic and international clients on Australian financial services licensing requirements. Lucy's expertise encompasses a range of regulatory matters, including payments and derivatives regulation, compliance with the Financial Sector (Collection of Data) Act 2001, privacy issues, and anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing obligations. Lucy joined McCullough Robertson in June 2025 as a partner, continuing her distinguished career in Sydney, New South Wales. Prior to this, she was a partner at Hazelbrook Legal, where she served for over three years, demonstrating her commitment to delivering high-quality legal advice. Her time as a solicitor at Gilbert + Tobin further solidified her skills in the industry. In her role as Director at EY, Lucy honed her expertise in financial services, a practice she continues to advance. Her earlier tenure at Allen & Overy, where she spent over eight years, included positions as Senior Associate and Senior Lawyer, deepening her knowledge in financial services, regulatory, and funds law. Lucy's career began as a solicitor at Clayton Utz, where her foundation in legal practice was established. Lucy's academic background includes a Master of Laws from the University of Melbourne, specialising in Banking, Corporate, Finance, and Securities Law, and a combined Bachelor of Social Science and Bachelor of Laws from Macquarie University, which laid the groundwork for her legal acumen and understanding of political science and government.
