Jonathan Duhs

Jonathan Duhs is the Founder and Director of Lyndon Duhs Law, established on 1 November 2015. With more than 20 years of legal experience, he has spent over five years as a partner or director of law firms. His career in Sydney included eight years as a senior in-house lawyer with a major media and entertainment organisation, where he managed a disputes team handling litigation across Australia and internationally for four years. Jonathan has extensive expertise in pre-publication advice, handling disputes, transactions, and commissions of inquiry for leading media organisations. He has advised on notable television and radio programs, including Four Corners, Media Watch, and Foreign Correspondent, as well as numerous news reports for print, online, and broadcast platforms. His legal prowess in handling media-related litigation extends throughout Australian States and Territories, including appearances in the High Court of Australia. Beyond media, Jonathan has advised on diverse commercial transactions and disputes, serving clients ranging from publicly listed companies and multinational corporations to SMEs and high net worth individuals. He leverages his strong background in biomedical and computer technology for intellectual property and commercial matters, enhancing client outcomes through innovative legal strategies. Before founding Lyndon Duhs Law, Jonathan served as a Partner and Special Counsel at Thynne & Macartney in Sydney, and as a Senior Lawyer in the Disputes and Litigation team at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation. His earlier roles include positions at TressCox Lawyers, Clarke Kann, and Freehills.
