About Helen
Helen Miedzinski is the founder and Principal Lawyer of the firm, celebrated for her expertise in mediation and skilled negotiation of successful resolutions, often circumventing the need for court intervention. With over two decades of experience in the High Court and Supreme Court, Helen is well-versed in family law, wills and estates, succession planning, and conveyancing. Her legal journey began after serving as an office manager and paralegal at a city law firm, leading to her admission as a Legal Practitioner to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 1994 and the High Court of Australia in 2000. Further enhancing her credentials, she became an Attorney General Family Dispute Resolution Practitioner in 2008 and a nationally accredited Mediator under the National Mediator Accreditation System in 2012. Helen is committed to understanding her clients' unique circumstances, providing tailored legal services that address individual needs. Her dedication and empathetic approach have earned her a loyal client base who trust her not only as a lawyer but also as a trusted confidant. Beyond her firm, Helen contributes to the legal community as a member of the Family Law Panel of Legal Aid and the Mediators Panel of both the District Court of New South Wales and the Law Society of New South Wales. She is also actively involved with the Family Law section of the Law Council of Australia, the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, and LEADR, and she serves as a committee member for the Sutherland/St. George Law Society. In her spare time, Helen is deeply involved in her community, regularly providing free will advice through the Salvation Army. Outside of her legal commitments, she enjoys cooking, dancing, exploring nature, and attending music and theatre performances, cherishing time with family and friends.
