Katherine Lord

Katherine Lord, a Partner at her firm, has dedicated her career to family law since 2000. With her roots in Rockhampton, she completed her early education at Hall State School and Rockhampton State High School before moving to the Gold Coast. There, Katherine pursued her Bachelor of Laws at Bond University, laying a strong foundation for her future in law. Her professional journey began with articles of clerkship at Hirst & Company in Brisbane, leading to her admission to both the Supreme Court of Queensland and the High Court in 2002. Following this, Katherine honed her skills at Barry & Nilsson in Brisbane before returning to Rockhampton to join Grant & Simpson in 2006. Katherine's extensive experience in family law covers complex property and children's matters as well as domestic violence cases. Her comprehensive understanding of these areas, complemented by her involvement with the Law Council of Australia's Family Law Section, ensures that her clients receive expert guidance and representation. In addition to her family law focus, Katherine also has experience in agency law, further broadening her ability to serve her clients' diverse legal needs. Her commitment to her clients and her profession is evident in every aspect of her practice.
