Eric Navea

Eric Navea is a seasoned legal professional with a comprehensive understanding of the criminal justice system. His career spans over a decade, initially developing his expertise as a Prosecutor at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP NSW). During his tenure there, Eric honed his skills by appearing before numerous Judges and Magistrates across Local, District, and Supreme Courts. His experience includes instructing some of the most esteemed Barristers in the State, which has equipped him with unique insights into courtroom dynamics. Eric's subsequent roles have further broadened his expertise in the legal domain. As a Senior Prosecutor with the National Heavy Vehicle Regulator, he played a critical role in enforcing the Heavy Vehicle National Law, demonstrating leadership in guiding a team of prosecutors. His strategic acumen was equally utilised during his time as a Senior Solicitor at the Building Commission NSW and as Principal Solicitor in litigation at SafeWork NSW. In June 2025, Eric channelled his extensive experience into founding Eric Navea Legal, where he offers expert legal services in criminal and traffic law, heavy vehicle law, regulatory prosecution litigation, immigration law, and property conveyancing. His practice benefits from a hybrid approach, allowing flexibility in meeting clients’ needs. Eric is recognised for his effective communication and leadership skills, ensuring that clients receive clear, practical advice. Eric's academic foundation is robust, with a Juris Doctor from the University of Sydney, where he also participated in internal mooting competitions. He also holds a Bachelor of Oral Health, providing him with a diverse perspective on professional practice and client care.
