About Simone
Simone Cureton is the Principal Solicitor and the driving force behind Equal Justice Lawyers, a firm primarily devoted to surrogacy law. Her journey into the legal profession began after an extensive career in legal administration, where she developed a deep interest in resolving the complexities individuals face within the legal system. Earning her Bachelor of Laws from the University of Adelaide in 2016, Simone initially honed her litigation skills at a prominent insurance defence firm. However, a pivotal experience representing a worker in the South Australian Employment Tribunal helped her discover her true calling: assisting individuals. With extensive experience in workplace injury law across several legal practices, Simone eventually launched her own firm with a distinct focus on surrogacy law. Her personal journey as a gestational surrogate in 2018 and 2021 fuels her passion, providing her with a unique perspective in this niche area. Committed to making legal services accessible to all, Simone has long been involved in community initiatives, providing pro bono advice to help demystify legal challenges for many. While surrogacy law is her primary focus, Simone continues to support clients with workplace injury cases. Her empathetic nature and commitment to positive client outcomes distinguish her in the field. Alongside her private practice, Simone actively contributes to the community as the Secretary on the Board of Directors for MRKH Australia. Through Equal Justice Lawyers, Simone Cureton passionately champions equitable legal access and strives to deliver fair, informed, and empathetic legal advice.
