Emma Trebilcock

Emma Trebilcock serves as the Principal at EMT Legal, bringing over two decades of legal expertise from some of South Australia's most prestigious law firms. Before establishing EMT Legal in 2014, Emma worked as a Special Counsel in the Insolvency and Recoveries section of a major South Australian law firm. Her extensive experience includes acting for private clients in debt recovery, insolvency, and complex commercial disputes, as well as representing liquidators, bankruptcy trustees, and creditors under the Bankruptcy and Corporations Act. As the owner and principal solicitor at EMT Legal, Emma has carved a niche in insolvency and commercial litigation. Her role as Director at DebtAway Pty Ltd further honed her skills in this arena. During her tenure as Special Counsel at Kelly & Co, Emma advised insolvency practitioners and commercial clients on debt recovery and general commercial litigation. Her earlier roles at Lipman Karas and Donaldson Walsh Lawyers saw her handling complex bankruptcy matters and significant commercial disputes. Emma began her legal journey as a solicitor at von Doussas, after completing her BA (Juris) and LLB at the University of Adelaide.
