Gergis Ayoub

Gergis Ayoub serves as the Principal Lawyer at Emigration Services, a practice he founded to assist migrant communities with visa and immigration matters both within and outside Australia. Drawing on his personal journey as a refugee from Sudan, he has become deeply committed to migration law, leveraging his own experiences to guide and support his clients. For over a decade, Gergis has honed his skills by collaborating with senior principals, partners, lawyers, and migration agents, through which he has successfully managed the immigration operations of several law firms. His strong connections with community leaders have been instrumental in reaching diverse communities and offering them tailored legal assistance. In addition to his focus on migration law, Gergis has a broad legal background, having practised in areas such as criminal and family law. He regularly appears in the Magistrates' Court representing clients charged by Victoria Police and has considerable experience assisting with parenting orders and divorce applications. Gergis is also equipped to advise clients on fines, infringements, and tenancy issues. Beyond his legal practice, Gergis actively contributes to his community, holding a leadership role at St Bishoy and St Shenouda's Coptic Orthodox Church in Bulleen. He was also involved with the Victorian Multicultural Commission's Regional Advisory Council for Eastern Metropolitan Region from 2017 to 2022. His dedication to community service is matched by his commitment to providing legal support to those navigating complex legal challenges. Gergis completed his legal education at La Trobe University, earning a Bachelor of Laws, followed by a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice at Leo Cussen Centre for Law. He furthered his expertise by undertaking a Practice Management Course, positioning him as a knowledgeable and compassionate advocate for his clients.
