Shane Mead

Shane Mead is a dedicated legal professional and partner at Carvosso & Winship, where he has cultivated his career since commencing his Articles in 1980. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1985, holding a Bachelor of Laws from the Queensland University of Technology and a Masters of Laws from the University of Queensland. Shane's upbringing in rural and remote areas of Queensland, where his father was engaged in local government, has deeply influenced his perspective and approach in his legal practice. With over 30 years in a full-service firm, he has developed expertise in various legal domains, with a particular interest in litigation, environmental law, and local government matters. His commitment to these fields is further demonstrated by his active membership in both state and national environmental law groups. Shane also serves as a Committee Member of the Australian Environment and Planning Law Group within the Law Council of Australia.
