Brooke Winter

Brooke Winter serves as the Principal and Supervising Lawyer, bringing over 30 years of dedicated experience in the criminal law sector. Brooke’s journey in law began with roles as a prosecutor in New South Wales and Queensland before transitioning to defence work in 2006. His career has spanned metropolitan and rural areas in New South Wales and extended to the Gold Coast and Brisbane over the past 18 years. Brooke is renowned for his focus on Criminal Law, with particular expertise in Traffic Law and Domestic Violence Law, representing both Respondents and Aggrieved parties. His extensive courtroom experience includes appearances in the Magistrates Courts in Queensland, the Local Courts in New South Wales, as well as the District and Supreme Courts across Queensland, New South Wales, and Tasmania. Brooke has led Brooke Winter Solicitors as Principal Solicitor since 2009, delivering high-quality representation across both Queensland and New South Wales courts. Before establishing his firm, Brooke advanced his skills as an Associate at Price and Roobottom Solicitors, where he regularly appeared in court from the Magistrates to the Court of Appeal. Beginning his career in law enforcement, Brooke served as a Police Prosecutor with the Queensland Police Service and NSW Police Force, prosecuting matters in the Queensland Magistrates Courts and Sydney area respectively. Brooke's academic credentials are robust, having earned a Bachelor of Business focusing on Human Resource Management from Griffith University and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of New England. He further honed his legal acumen with a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from the Australian National University and a Diploma of Policing from Charles Sturt University. Brooke is an active member of the Queensland Law Society, Gold Coast District Law Association, and the Law Society of Tasmania, reflecting his commitment to the legal community.
