Jay Mohan Singh serves as the Director at BMS LAW, offering a wealth of experience in both Australian and Singaporean legal systems. His legal journey began with an international perspective as he assisted counsel in the High Court of Singapore during the Amiira v Shizard trial. This formative experience was complemented by frequent travels to Singapore during his studies, where he played an integral role in chamber applications before the High Court of Singapore. Jay is admitted to practice in the High Court of Australia, Federal Courts, and various State-level Courts, showcasing his deep understanding of complex legal matters in both jurisdictions. Jay's legal acumen extends across civil litigation, commercial and business law, probate, wills, and Australian foreign investment laws, with particular expertise in mining law, fraud, consumer protection, employment law, and family law. His contributions to reported decisions such as ARM Mining v SKR New Investment and El Khouri v Attorney-General demonstrate his capability in handling significant legal challenges. Having initially joined BMS LAW as a graduate paralegal, Jay's career advanced as he served as a Barrister and Solicitor, leading to his current role as Director. His time as a Registered Australian Migration Agent further broadened his experience, allowing him to address intricate matters within migration law. Jay's educational background includes a Bachelor of Laws from Murdoch University and a Bachelor of Commerce in Marketing and Commercial Law from Curtin University, supplemented by a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice from The College of Law Australia.
