Teigan Jones

Teigan Jones is a dedicated family lawyer recognised for her expertise and commitment to achieving practical outcomes in family law matters. She has received notable recognition, including being named one of Queensland’s Family Law Rising Stars by Doyles Guide in both 2020 and 2021, as well as being recommended as a Leading Family & Divorce Lawyer in the Toowoomba, Darling Downs & Western Queensland region in 2022. Teigan began her legal career as the Legal Associate to the Honourable Justice Michelle May in the Appeals Division of the Family Law Court of Australia. Since her admission to practice in 2011, she has exclusively focused on family law, developing strong experience in this area. She has been with Wilsons - The Family Lawyers since 2012, working alongside Reagan, and in 2021 became a Director and Legal Partner of the firm. Teigan employs her thorough understanding of family law and court processes to navigate complex legal issues while encouraging clients to pursue negotiation, mediation and other collaborative approaches whenever possible. This approach aims to reduce the stress, delay and expense often associated with litigation. Teigan holds a Masters of Applied Law (Family Law) and is a graduate fellow of the College of Law Ltd. She is an active member of the Family Law Practitioner Association, the Family Law Section of the Law Council of Australia, and the Women’s Legal Association of Queensland Inc.
