Hamish Glenister

Hamish Glenister is a legal practitioner director who serves as the primary point of contact for clients, providing advice and representation throughout their legal journey. With extensive experience acting both as counsel and in instructing other counsel, Hamish has appeared in nearly every federal and state court. He is committed to prioritising his clients’ interests and strives to achieve the best possible outcomes for them. Hamish has a strong dedication to access to justice and the rule of law. He has contributed his legal services in approximately 100 matters on a pro bono basis or through no-win no-fee arrangements. Many of the defining moments in his career have come from assisting vulnerable community members without expectation of payment. His experience includes representing clients in Federal Court appeals and judicial review applications, with considerable involvement in partner visa and visa cancellation appeals. Hamish also brings insights from his previous role as Secretary of the Criminal Lawyers Association, where he played a part in advocating for significant reforms to executive policy and criminal law.
