Wade is an accomplished barrister with a robust legal career spanning nearly three decades. Admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia in July 1994, Wade holds a distinguished Bachelor of Laws from the University of Sydney. His early years saw him forging a formidable reputation as a commercial litigator during his tenure as a solicitor in Sydney. In 2002, he enhanced his academic credentials with a Master of Business Administration from the Macquarie Graduate School of Management and moved to the Northern Territory. There, he assumed the role of Special Counsel in commercial litigation with Clayton Utz, marking the beginning of his enduring commitment to the Territory's legal landscape. Wade’s legal expertise spans a wide spectrum of areas, including Banking and Insolvency, Administrative, Company, Construction, Professional Indemnity, Employment, and Trade Practices law, further enriched by international experience in Vanuatu and New Zealand. In August 2009, Wade was called to the Northern Territory Bar, reinforcing his extensive courtroom competence. His leadership and dedication to the legal profession are evident in his service as a former member of the Northern Territory Medical Board and as a past Treasurer and president of the NT Bar Association. Currently, he upholds the integrity of the legal profession as the Deputy Chair of the Law Society’s Disciplinary Tribunal. In recognition of his exceptional skill and contributions to the legal field, Wade was appointed as Senior Counsel in 2021, a testament to his standing and influence within the legal community.
