Ben McLean

Ben McLean is a Director at Wightons Lawyers, bringing a broad range of legal expertise to his role. He completed a Bachelor of Commerce and Law double degree at Deakin University, followed by Practical Legal Training at the Leo Cussen Institute. Ben was admitted to practice and joined Wightons Lawyers in 2016. With a diverse practice, Ben is well-versed in commercial litigation, dispute resolution, wills and estates, commercial and business law, incorporation, and trusts. This varied experience enables him to provide clients with practical and well-rounded advice that addresses multiple facets of their legal needs. Raised in a small farming community in Victoria’s South West, Ben values community engagement and is passionate about sport, particularly as an enthusiastic supporter of the Carlton Football Club. Outside of his professional commitments, Ben enjoys spending time with his wife Georgia and their two dachshunds on the Bellarine Peninsula, as well as engaging in golf and fishing with friends. Ben holds membership with the Law Institute of Victoria and has actively contributed to the legal community through roles such as Vice President of the Geelong Law Association and representative positions for young lawyers. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Laws, and a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice.
