About Ross

Ross Whitelaw, a founding partner of Whitelaw McDonald, has dedicated over five decades to the legal profession, cultivating a distinguished career marked by numerous favourable outcomes for his clients. Since the firm’s establishment in 1987 alongside John McDonald, Ross has applied his extensive legal expertise to achieve significant financial successes for his clientele. His dedication to the law is deeply rooted in his commitment to client care, a core principle of Whitelaw McDonald. Ross offers a wide range of legal services, including commercial law, wills and estates, estate and business succession planning, conveyancing, leasing, and mediation. Enhancing his legal practice is his experience as an arbitrator with the NSW Workers Compensation Commission from 2001 to 2010, alongside his role as a Notary Public since 2000. Before co-founding Whitelaw McDonald, Ross sharpened his legal acumen as a sole practitioner and in various other law practices. These experiences ultimately led to the creation of Whitelaw McDonald & Associates, which has grown into the esteemed firm it is today. Outside of his professional endeavours, Ross has a passion for music and can often be found enjoying the compositions of Richard Wagner during his leisure time.
