Andrew Wheeler

Andrew Wheeler is the Principal of Wheeler Family Law, a practice he founded in March 2015 dedicated exclusively to family law, including matters involving family violence. Before establishing his own practice, Andrew gained valuable experience at a suburban firm where he practised across a range of areas, including family law, employment law and civil litigation. Andrew brings extensive knowledge and expertise across all facets of family law. His experience encompasses complex property settlements, parenting disputes such as relocation and international child abduction, family violence and child abuse issues, spousal maintenance, child support, and the full spectrum of related matters. As a solicitor-advocate with years of courtroom experience, Andrew regularly represents clients at interim hearings and other stages in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, as well as at the Magistrates’ Court of Victoria. This breadth of advocacy means clients receive strong representation without the need for additional counsel in most cases, offering a cost-effective advantage. Known for his combination of professional skill and genuine empathy, Andrew provides clear and practical legal advice to support clients through the difficult and often stressful circumstances family law matters can present. Beyond his legal career, Andrew is actively engaged in his local Christian community, having served in various leadership roles including elder, lay preacher and Chairman of Church Council. He also contributes as a director of the Reformed Theological College. In his personal time, Andrew enjoys classical and jazz music and values spending quality time with his family.
