About James
James Norcock was born and raised in Naracoorte before moving to Adelaide, where he completed his secondary education. He earned a Bachelor of Psychology from the University of South Australia and subsequently completed a Bachelor of Laws at the University of Adelaide. Admitted to practice in December 2009, James gained valuable experience at an Adelaide law firm before returning to Naracoorte in 2010 to join Peter Westley. In 2015, James became a partner, leading to the establishment of the firm Westley DiGiorgio Norcock. He practices across a broad range of legal matters including property and business transfers, estate planning, commercial law, family law, criminal law and estate administration. James routinely represents clients in litigation, appearing in the Magistrates Court, Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, as well as the Supreme Court of South Australia. Family law forms a significant part of James’s practice. He provides advice and representation in post-relationship matters such as property settlements, parenting agreements and child support arrangements. His commercial work includes handling property sales and purchases, share transfers, business sales, contracts, leases, shareholder agreements and trust deeds. James is supported by legal assistant Stef Bull in delivering client services. Outside of law, James is passionate about golf. A representative player across Australia, he is currently President of the Golf SE Golf Association and organiser of the Two Cocks Golf Day in Naracoorte, an annual event raising substantial funds for local charities. James enjoys balancing his professional commitments with time spent with his family.
