Matthew Quill

Matthew Quill is a solicitor based in Dubbo with experience spanning Legal Aid NSW, private practice, and the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions. His approach combines empathy with a focus on efficient resolution, enabling him to identify core issues and provide clear, practical solutions. With a solid grounding in criminal law, Matthew is adept at communicating complex legal concepts in a manner that clients find accessible and reassuring. He has represented clients in the Children’s Court and Local Court across various proceedings, including defended hearings, bail applications, and sentencing matters. Matthew has conducted plea traversal hearings and managed Section 14 applications successfully. His experience includes instructing Counsel in District Court trials and achieving favourable outcomes in appeals against Local Court sentences at the District Court level. Originally from Canowindra, Matthew has spent much of his adult life living in Sydney and overseas. He has recently returned to the Central West to establish his practice and continue his work while raising his young family.
