About Will
Will was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Tasmania in 1995 and joined Wallace Wilkinson & Webster in 1997, where he has been a Partner since 2002. His legal practice covers a broad spectrum, including commercial and contract law, residential and commercial conveyancing, property development, leasing, finance, and wills and estates. He serves a diverse clientele comprising noted Tasmanian businesses, associations, national financial institutions, and individuals. Currently, Will is the President of the Law Society of Tasmania and the Chair of the Law Foundation of Tasmania. His previous roles include President, Vice President (twice), and Treasurer of the Law Society of Tasmania, as well as the former Chair of the Law Society Property and Commercial Law Committee, a committee he remains an active member of today. Will's expertise is further recognised by his role as one of the principal draftsmen of the REIT/Law Society Standard Form of Contract for the sale of property in Tasmania, and his listing in Doyle’s Guide to the Australian Legal Market as a leading property and corporate, commercial, and business lawyer. In 2023, his outstanding service to the Tasmanian legal profession was honoured with the Law Society of Tasmania Presidents Award. Beyond his impressive legal career, Will brings a wealth of experience from his service as an Officer in the Australian Army Legal Corp (Reserve). His commitment extends beyond his professional life, having served as the Vice Commodore of the Derwent Sailing Squadron. In his leisure time, Will cherishes moments with his family, enjoys sailing on the River Derwent and its surrounding areas, and has a passion for classic cars.
