Shahen Davityan

Shahen Davityan is the Principal and Director of Verde Lawyers, bringing extensive experience in advising and representing a diverse range of clients, from individuals to international corporations. He leads a team of experienced solicitors known for providing thorough assessments of legal options alongside practical commercial advice tailored to each client’s needs. As a Nationally Accredited Mediator, Shahen is registered with the National Mediator Accreditation System (NMAS), the Australian Mediation Association, the Resolution Institute, and holds accreditation under the NSW Law Society’s Lawyer Mediator Accreditation Scheme. His natural empathy and impartial listening abilities enable him to guide parties towards effective and timely resolutions in dispute situations. Shahen’s legal expertise includes Commercial Law and Negotiation, particularly in areas such as Sanctions Permits, Foreign Investment Review Board applications, and Commercial Deeds of Agreement. He also has significant experience in Migration Law, focusing on Business Innovation and Investment visa applications. His practice extends to Family Law matters, including parenting orders, divorce, asset division and spousal maintenance, as well as Trust and Estate Law, with proficiency in International Wills and Testamentary Trusts. Known for his personalised approach and strong commercial acumen, Shahen has cultivated long-standing client relationships. He is a Fellow of the Australian and New Zealand College of Notaries and founder of Verde Lawyers and its associated firm, City Notaries. Shahen holds a Juris Doctor from the University of Technology Sydney and a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide. He is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of New South Wales and the High Court of Australia. Additionally, he is admitted as a Public Notary in New South Wales and is an active member of the NSW Society of Notaries and The Australian and New Zealand College of Notaries. Shahen is fluent in Armenian and Persian (Farsi) and is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales.
