Terri Bell

Terri Bell is a Principal at TLB LAW & CO, a boutique law firm she established to provide tailored legal solutions. With a distinguished career marked by advising some of the world’s leading multinational companies, Terri has extensive experience in complex issues within the maritime and transport industries. Her involvement as a founding member and former Vice President of the Women’s International Shipping and Trading Association (WISTA) reflects her commitment and expertise in this sector. Additionally, Terri has contributed to the profession as chair of the New South Wales Branch of the Maritime Law Association of Australia and New Zealand. Throughout her career, Terri has worked with a diverse range of clients, including carriers, Protection and Indemnity (P&I) Clubs, marine insurers, freight forwarders, road haulage carriers, importers, and exporters. This broad experience enables her to navigate the complexities of transport law effectively. In addition to her maritime and transport work, Terri has a strong background in employment law. She is dedicated to assisting clients in adopting ethical practices and understanding their obligations, ensuring compliance and peace of mind. Terri supports both employers and employees with employment contracts, disciplinary issues, and dispute resolution, including matters related to unfair dismissal, general protections claims, breach of contract, and discrimination. Terri holds a Bachelor of Laws with First Class Honours. She has also contributed academically through lectures and research at the University of Technology Sydney, covering topics such as Indigenous Peoples and Self-determination as well as intellectual property at the postgraduate level.
