Richard Thompson is the founder and director of Thompson Legal, established in Bli Bli in 2024. With a comprehensive legal background, Richard has a wealth of experience in commercial, succession, and elder law. His career commenced after completing his Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Business (Accounting) at Queensland University of Technology, followed by a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice. He was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland in 2010. Richard's legal journey is complemented by his time as a solicitor at reputable firms, including MSB Lawyers and Butler McDermott Lawyers, where he honed his skills in business contracts, trusts, commercial leasing, and estate planning. His role at these firms involved complex estate litigation and advising on retirement village regulations, underscoring his commitment to clients and legal excellence. Outside the legal realm, Richard is a distinguished sportsman, having spent five years as a professional ultra-triathlete.
