Christopher Sutton

Christopher Sutton is a Director and Principal Lawyer with over 40 years of experience advocating for and protecting the rights and interests of his clients. Chris began his legal journey as an articled clerk with a regional firm in Tamworth. During his university studies, he was recognised with several academic awards, reflecting his commitment to excellence. In the late 1980s and throughout the 1990s, Chris served as partner and then solicitor principal of a firm that grew to become one of the most successful general practice and personal injury law firms in Western Sydney. He subsequently established a thriving general practice on the Sunshine Coast before joining a national law firm from 2011 to 2020, where he worked as a senior solicitor and later as special counsel. Alongside partners James and Soren, Chris co-founded The Firm Law Group, building it from the ground up by embracing modern technologies and innovative approaches. This allowed the group to operate free from the bureaucracy often found in larger or more established firms, while maintaining strong traditional values and a commitment to delivering excellent legal outcomes.
