Teusner & Co has a longstanding history of providing comprehensive legal services to individuals, families, and businesses across the Barossa Valley, surrounding regions, and Kangaroo Island. Since its establishment in 1932, the firm has built a reputation for serving multiple generations with a broad range of legal expertise. Founded by Berthold Herbert Teusner, who graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Laws in 1931, the firm began as Gun & Teusner in Tanunda. Bert Teusner was not only a committed legal practitioner but also an active community member and public servant, serving as Chairman of the District Council of Tanunda and later as Speaker of the South Australian House of Assembly from 1944 to 1970. The firm became a family practice when Roger Erskine Teusner joined in 1963. Roger guided the firm’s growth and extended its reach with the development of a Kangaroo Island practice and additional offices in Nuriootpa. In 2003, Teusner & Co consolidated operations at the restored Belmont House in Tanunda, underscoring the firm’s deep regional roots. Today, the partnership includes Brenton Miegel, Julia Lloyd, and Danielle Spiteri. Danielle’s appointment as partner in 2017 marked the continuation of the firm’s commitment to quality legal service and community focus.
