Richen Mojica

Richen Mojica is a Senior Associate with extensive experience in dispute resolution and litigation, insolvency, commercial and property law. Since completing his law degree in 2019, Richen has progressed from roles as a paralegal and solicitor to managing a diverse range of legal matters on a day-to-day basis. His expertise includes guiding clients through all forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution such as mediation and arbitration, as well as conducting litigation across all Federal and State Court jurisdictions. Richen is adept at preparing pleadings, briefing Counsel, taking witness statements and affidavits, and handling interlocutory issues including security for costs applications. In commercial law, he regularly drafts agreements such as share sale contracts and terms of trade. Richen’s knowledge of insolvency law is particularly robust. He manages recovery claims made by liquidators relating to insolvency trading and uncommercial transactions, and assists with bankruptcy-related matters. His background as a qualified Chartered Accountant in Australia and New Zealand, a Certified Public Accountant in the Philippines, and expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards adds considerable value to his legal work. With over 12 years in assurance, business advisory, corporate and financial reporting, tax, statutory compliance and treasury, Richen brings a well-rounded perspective to his practice. Having worked in major firms and corporations across Australia, the Philippines and the United States, Richen combines legal acumen with broad international business insights. His practice encompasses dispute resolution—handling debt recovery proceedings, misleading and deceptive conduct claims, retail lease mediations, and breach of commercial lease disputes. In commercial matters, he advises on share sales, privacy policy compliance under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) compliance, corporate regulatory issues, freedom of information requests, and Fair Work Ombudsman representation. In insolvency, Richen acts on bankruptcy annulment applications, recovers assets for trustees, and supports liquidators in winding-up proceedings. He also provides advice on commercial leasing, retail leasing and residential conveyancing. Richen holds a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of the City of Manila, a Juris Doctor from the University of Sydney, and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice. He was admitted as a solicitor of the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2020.
