With over 30 years of legal experience, Craig Higginbotham brings a comprehensive and practical approach to his role as Senior Partner. He has spent more than 17 years as a Partner at prominent national mid-tier Australian law firms, consistently providing clients with clear, commercially focused advice. Craig advises a broad range of clients including multinational corporations and many of Australia’s largest publicly listed companies. His work spans commercial disputes, corporate transactions, property matters, corporate restructuring, and insolvency. He is well-versed in acquisitions and sales, contract negotiation and drafting, shareholder agreements, and regulatory compliance and enforcement, with a particular focus on directors’ duties and obligations. In property law, Craig’s expertise centres on retail leasing, combining transactional work with dispute resolution. Whether negotiating complex contracts or resolving contentious matters through negotiation, mediation, or litigation, Craig is known for his ability to reach effective outcomes that align with his clients’ business objectives. His litigation experience spans all Australian courts and tribunals. Craig also acts for Liquidators and Administrators, offering guidance on asset recovery and advising directors on insolvency-related matters such as safe harbour protections and defending claims that may arise from insolvent trading or preferences.
