Kent Davey is an experienced intellectual property lawyer with more than 25 years of providing legal services across information technology, intellectual property, internet, ecommerce, privacy, telecommunications, and corporate and commercial law. Throughout his career, Kent has worked in both top-tier and mid-tier law firms, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the legal needs of clients ranging from ASX top 20 national and international companies to government departments, SMEs, and startups. As a former partner at law firms and an in-house legal adviser in both private and public sectors, Kent brings practical insights to his legal practice. He has also contributed significantly to the profession through his role as President of the Victorian Society for Computers & the Law, as well as serving as editor for the Journal of the Australian and New Zealand Societies for Computers and the Law. Kent holds a Bachelor of Laws with Honours, a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology, and a Master of Laws specialising in Communications, Intellectual Property, and Privacy Law from the University of Melbourne.
