Dan Collins

Dan Collins is the Principal of Talbot Sayer, leading the firm's property and agribusiness practices. With extensive experience in diverse property law matters, Dan advises property developers, institutional investors, and private landowners on managing their commercial, residential, and industrial portfolios. His expertise extends to assisting farming families, asset managers, and agribusiness companies with rural interests. Previously, Dan served as in-house counsel for one of Australia's largest property development and construction companies, bringing a commercially focused approach while ensuring clients' interests are well-protected. His capabilities include commercial property leasing, real estate, property development, and engagement in the renewables, energy transition, and carbon markets sectors. Dan's career spans significant roles, including his current tenure at Talbot Sayer since December 2015. Prior to this, he was a partner at McCullough Robertson, where he also held senior associate positions. His experience includes serving as legal counsel at Grocon, where he further honed his skills in construction and development law. Dan's education includes a Bachelor's degree in Law and Commerce from the University of Queensland and further legal studies at the University of British Columbia. His legal acumen, combined with a practical understanding of the property and agribusiness sectors, positions Dan as a valuable advisor to his clients.
